Family Visit and Soccer!

Sooooooo, you know how I mentioned that Charlotte started out so good with soccer and loved running around and kicking the ball? Well, it turned out that as soon as the whistle blew and it was time for all the kids to start going after the ball, it took about 60 seconds before Charlotte got completely frustrated that other kids were faster than her and able to get to the ball to kick it before she could. She'd burst into tears within minutes of the game starting and by the end of the season, she didn't even want to attempt to play. We've learned that she's pretty competitive. Daniel thinks if we could get her over this "hump" she could have many fun/good years of sports playing ahead of her. And since extended family was at the below game, little miss princess spent the game like this. All cuddled up enjoying watching HER game on the sidelines!

She was more than happy to receive an award too, ha!

My parents and sister came to watch the girls play their last game of soccer and receive medals and Daniel's dad and step-mom were here visiting for the weekend! We were so thankful to have so much family there supporting our girls and spending time together.
The family did get to watch Morgan play though! She did great! She got out there and ran after the ball and made some good plays.

After the game we took Steve and Dorothea up to see the big trees in Sequoia National Park.

We so appreciate when family comes to visit us! We know it's not easy but it means the world to us and our girls.
