Easter With Nana & Papa!

Daniel had to work Easter so just the girls and I headed up to my parents house to spend the holiday with them. We had a blast and loved the fact that Dusty and Chase came up to visit too!
We colored eggs the day before.

Nana and I were getting a kick out of Papa because he REALLY got into the coloring of eggs. He made it a billion times more fun because he was genuinely enjoying himself and laughing and playing right along with the girls. I'll never forget this evening.

Charlotte was impressing me with her ability to use the egg scooping tool to transfer eggs from one color to the next. She acted like she had been doing this for years!

 Their baskets!

These photos are a bit deceiving. Charlotte woke up in a mood and didn't calm down until much later in the day AFTER her nap.
After we all got ready, we headed to church for a nice Easter service!

Love these pictures! Chase is such an awesome kid. The girls are lucky to have him as a cousin.
After church, we went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch. Just for the record, they have the best rolls and ribs EVER!
Morgan was a delight during lunch! Her sister however (seen below licking the cinnamon butter off of her roll) was not so pleasant during lunch and the reason I had to have my food packaged to go immediately after it was brought out. Luckily, we had taken two different cars so I packed up the kiddos and headed back to my parent's house so the rest of our party could eat in peace. No hard feelings though, this is just part of being a parent.

After much needed naps, it was time for Easter egg hunting!
Chase and Papa hid the eggs for us.

These pictures are darling to me. I cherish them already.

We made great memories this weekend. I adore my parents. I love who they are and what they've taught me. I'll never stop feeling blessed for this amazing family I'm honored to be a part of. I'm one lucky girl.

Picking Oranges!

We headed up to Nana and Papa's house for Easter! One of the first things Morgan asked to do when we got there was pick oranges from Papa's tree.
This was Charlotte's first time to pick some herself.
Grrrrr........you had to pull real hard to get the oranges off. Morgan was making a face as she strained to pick one.
Charlotte was still a little short so she got some help from Papa.

They immediately cut into one.
Nana and Papa have some gorgeous roses growing in their backyard.

We spent a huge part of the weekend outside because the weather was perfect! Not too hot, not too cold.
Nana loved this selfie I took with their flowers.
Morgan loves Rolly Pollies and their backyard had a plethora of them!

I absolutely love these pictures of Nana and Papa laughing with the girls.
