Petting Farm!

Every year there is an event in the Valley called The Blossom Trail. I've always wanted to go but never have. This year I was determined to check it out. Really, all it is a scenic drive among gorgeous blossoming orchards. While researching The Blossom Trail I discovered this petting farm and was so excited! Morgan has been asking to visit a farm so she could hold and pet baby animals.
She got to feed goats, a miniature horse, and a llama!

Charlotte was wary of the animals but liked to point at them.

 Sisters!

Most of the goats at this farm were fainting goats. I guess it's some type of gene mutation that makes them do this for a couple of seconds when they get scared. In order to catch this baby goat, the farm hand yelled and this little one just blurted and then fell to the ground. It was hilarious, adorable and a little sad all at the same time!

 She gave it a hug.

Sorry for the overload of pictures but who can resist cuddly farm animals, little ones and spring dresses! Below is the mommy goat checking on what we were doing with her baby.
I fell in love and wanted to take her home with me. Below she was giving me sweet little kisses.

Love, love discovering things to do in our back yard! Oh, and we never actually made it to The Blossom Trail. There's always next year!

Valentine's Day!

A couple of days before Valentine's Day, I enjoyed pulling out all of the girls red and pink clothes and making outfits for them to wear.

We made treats for Morgan and Charlotte's Valentine party at daycare. I'm not sure why but I absolutely love doing this kind of stuff!

They each got one gift. The below picture is of their treat bags they took to daycare and some crafts we did leading up to the holiday.

 Charlotte opens her gift...

 She got a stuffed puppy.

And Morgan got a light up pillow! She loves anything that lights up.
Look closely and you can see Charlotte's first bad judgement call with crayons. I mean last bad judgement call, right?
The trees sure are pretty this time of year!

Very First Ponytail!

Back in January, Morgan asked for her first pony tail. I put it in and it was adorable watching her look at herself in the mirror. She loved it! Daniel and I were shocked by how much older she immediately looked.

Zoo Adventure!

We are fortunate to receive free tickets to the zoo courtesy of my work. We recently went and had a beautiful family day!

It was early February and the zoo was decorated really cute for Valentine's Day.
We loved the new sea lion exhibit!

Poor Charlotte (and us) had just had a really rough week because little Charlotte fought a kidney infection all week. We all needed some fresh air but we kept Charlotte in her stroller so she could relax and continue to catch up on her rest.

Charlotte did get to join in on the giraffe feeding this time though.

Horns and pigtails. Morgan loves having her hair like this but we don't do it often because she's screams while you put them in. She apparently has a sensitive head!
Look at her grabbing the goat's ear below.

 She was kissing the lizard.
My daughter is turning into quite the little girl!
We love this guy. While standing and looking at him, Morgan was telling me why this is a tortoise and not a turtle. I couldn't remember but my 4 year old knew. :)
