Two Months Old!

The Park With Grandma

Oh my! Look at that belly!
 Morgan loves the swings!

Linda and Daniel played with the playground equipment too.

 While Morgan chased the ducks...
 Daniel visited with his mommy.
It was a beautiful day! We got some Indian food afterwards. I'm not sure Linda was the biggest fan. I can't blame her because Indian food does have a very different taste.

Charlotte fell asleep in the most awkward position.
Grandma read Morgan a book the night before she left.
We headed to church the morning after she left to help distract us from sad goodbyes.
Linda watched the girls a couple of times so Daniel and I could go to dinner. We REALLY appreciated it! It felt great to put on dressy shoes and lipstick and be out with my husband on a Friday night!

Fun Week!

Grandma Irwin came all the way from Indiana to visit us this week!
She got to see Morgan take her ballet class.

Morgan can't wear her ballet slippers anywhere but the studio so she wears boots and a jacket to get to and from class.
Linda, Morgan, Charlotte and I went to the zoo.

We went on a Wednesday and there was NOBODY there. We kept commenting on how it felt like the zoo was opened just for us. It was a really relaxing, fun day.
Morgan and Charlotte were especially well behaved which made our day that much better.
I packed our lunch but I did buy Morgan and I an ice cream cone. Yummy!
Morgan had a blast! She ran around a lot and enjoyed being outside.
Check out the sleeping bear behind Linda.

The petting zoo is always a hit.

We've really enjoyed Linda being here. Morgan has especially enjoyed her visit!

Making The Most Of Our Time

I've been trying to take advantage of my extra time with my girls so..

We went to a nice dinner together.

We went on a walk around our neighborhood.

We made a yummy chocolate banana treat.
We also made homemade pizza again. She's been begging me to do this ever since we made some a few weeks ago.

 We went to the park.

Daniel and Charlotte napped together while Morgan played.

We even got ice cream on our way home from the park! This was my first time purchasing a cone for her.

Ballet Class!

I don't have any good pictures yet but I'm so excited that Morgan is taking her first ballet class! I don't know about other moms but getting to see your little girl in ballet shoes and a tutu is one of those things you look forward to the minute you learn you're having a girl! I signed her up last week and was a little disappointed to learn that she was required to wear a blue leotard, pink tights and pink slippers. I was hoping to get cheap shoes at Payless and to pick up the leotard at Target. I knew that finding a blue leotard would be difficult so I went ahead and purchased her outfit at the store the dance studio suggested (which meant it was much more pricey). However, I'm excited because her outfit is authentic.

Her class is at the California Arts Academy and it's the real deal. They offer all types of classes and take dancing seriously. I was nervous attending her first class because I was hoping the other moms weren't "dance moms." I was told Morgan had to have her hair pulled back and we weren't allowed to be late. I was thinking this seemed a bit serious for 3 year olds. Luckily, the other moms are nice and down to earth.

Morgan had a blast and the teacher is great! It was so fun watching Morgan because she had an ear to ear smile the whole time. Immediately after class, she said she didn't want to leave and was already asking to come back. These moments are some of the reasons I love being a mom.
