Three Months Old!

Three Months
I couldn't help but take these photos with only her bloomers on. I love her rolls and belly!

Two Months

One Month
I like how I zoomed out for the first month. I need to start doing that for the rest of her photos. It helps show how big she is in comparison to the chair.

Yosemite!

It doesn't snow where we live but just a quick drive up the mountains usually provides us with a fun filled snow day. We love going with my sister's family. This year Dusty and Chase joined us. We had to drive all the way into Yosemite and we still only found a small patch of snow. Daniel and I have been wanting to go back to Yosemite so it ended up being a great day even if it wasn't the winter wonderland we were hoping for.
It was good that it wasn't that cold because Dusty forgot her coat. Below she's wearing Daniel's.

Don't be surprised if this picture is on our Christmas card next year.
Chase was cracking us up because he was pretending to have fallen off the cliff. Look for little hands...
He taught Morgan how to fist bump. This kind of stuff just makes me smile.
It was a beautiful day!

Yosemite Adventure Continued

Morgan had a blast playing in this stream. She kept walking into it and saying she wanted to swim.
We packed a lunch and enjoyed it in a beautiful forest right by the stream.
 Morgan fed huge black birds.
She chased one next to the water's edge. You can see the bird on a rock to the left of Morgan in the below picture.
I caught Morgan looking up at this huge tree.
Pictures just don't do Yosemite justice. Seeing these views in person is breathtaking.
Look at my nature baby! She looked on while the rest of us played in the patch of snow we found.
Morgan sled down this hill many, many times. She kept saying, "I want to do that again!" She had no fear. She sled down frontwards, on her tummy, backwards etc. She'd be going super fast and headed straight towards a rock but she didn't care. She had a smile on her face the whole time.
Love the memories we're making! I truly value this time with my family.

Valentine Day Festivities!

Charlotte gave her Daddy big smiles when he got home from work on Valentine's Day. She always does this. :)
That day was extra busy for us because Morgan still had ballet.
Because we got home so late we opened our gifts to eachother the next day. Daniel had already brought home a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and two delicious gourmet cinnamon rolls for me. I felt spoiled and I'm not going to lie, it felt good!

Below, Daniel gave Morgan a pink rose. It was all his idea. I loved, loved, LOVED this!
Morgan's face was so sweet as she opened her gift which contained a card, Valentine Elmo book, a marshmallow treat and a box of chocolates.

She picked out her bows. She's constantly bringing me bows and asking me to put them in her hair.
This is what her daycare provider made for each child. I love that she makes each holiday so special. It is very much appreciated!

Feel The Love!

Happy Valentine's Day!
We had some friends over one evening so I made heart shaped brownies.
We made Morgan's Valentine cards this year.

Morgan was delighted to make treats and pass them out to the kids at her daycare. I stayed a little while at her daycare while dropping her off today to witness the big smile on her face as she passed out her Valentines. So cute!

Hope you're feeling the love too!

Even Want to Remember the Sick Times

I'm good about documenting the big events that take place in the Irwin household but sometimes I forget to document the little day to day stuff. I think this is the stuff that will evoke more emotion when I'm looking at this blog much later in life.
Right now Morgan has a pretty bad cold. She awoke from her nap yesterday with a fever and both Daniel and I were losing our patience because she wouldn't stop crying long enough to take some fever reducer. Right at the peak of our frustration poor Morgan threw up her ENTIRE lunch all over herself and her bed. She was laying on her back and began to choke as I swooped in to sit her up. This of course meant that I put myself in the direct line of fire. Daniel immediately started running a bath and grabbing towels as I began to strip the clothes off of her. I'm so thankful that I have him by my side especially during times like this. We both jump into action somehow knowing exactly what to do. Morgan is fine but still real congested. I enjoyed bathing her and while drying her off I kept telling her it was okay because her Mommy was here and would take good care of her. I layed her on our bed with a blanket, pillow and tissues and let her pick out a movie.

I'm trying to prevent anyone else from getting sick especially since there's a two month in the house but that's kind of a joke with a sick three year old. I'm constantly reminding her to cover her nose when she sneezes and to use tissue and wash her hands. She's doing better but let's just say our house is a germ fest right now. While looking around the house today I couldn't help but like the way it looked with tissues and blankets everywhere. Our home is our little safe haven. Not so much because of the structure but because of the family living within it.
