Charlotte's Daycare!

Charlotte's in-home daycare posts pictures of the kids every day. I look forward to them and am so thankful for this!

I am beyond thankful to have Charlotte in such quality care! Kaycee was recommended to us by my sister's step daughter who is actually cousins with her and has grown up with her. She has a degree in child development and has worked in an in-home daycare since she was 16 years old and now she owns her own. Charlotte gets all the love, education, socialization, and guidance she could possibly need here! She usually goes about 3 days a week and stays home with her daddy a couple of days a week too.

Ballet & Gymnastics!

Charlotte started ballet a few weeks back!
I hadn't had time to purchase her a leotard, skirt, tights and ballet shoes before the class started but it worked out because she was able to fit into Morgan's old ballet costume perfectly!

As soon as I got the chance, I went out and got the below adorable ensemble.
Charlotte has been doing GREAT in her class! She really enjoys it, she listens well and is able to pick up on everything super fast. We couldn't ask for anything more!

Cheese!

I was curious how Morgan would do because always before it's been Charlotte and I watching Morgan in extracurricular activities. Morgan's never had to sit the side lines and watch Charlotte. To my surprise, Morgan was so excited for Charlotte and couldn't wait to sit with me and watch her do ballet. I was even able to get Morgan to work on her homework the first couple of classes. However, she's since progressed to hanging out with the other older siblings who are there to watch their younger sister's do ballet too.
And Morgan is doing gymnastics right now for the first time! She had been asking so we found a place within 5 minutes of our house. We love this place!

She's on the beam below on the very left of the picture.
And the teacher is helping her do some tumbling below.
Such a cutie.
And lucky Charlotte is getting to do gymnastics too! We originally just signed Charlotte up for ballet and Morgan up for gymnastics but then we learned that there is a gymnastics class for Charlotte's age the same exact time as Morgan's class. It was too convenient to pass up.

Charlotte loves her gymnastics equally as much as she does her ballet. She's extremely outgoing and often tells the teacher, "I can do it all by myself!"

Spring Pictures!

We had a professional photographer take pictures of the girls in that gorgeous field of flowers near our house.

I will always cherish these!

Art Award!

We were thrilled to learn that a piece of Morgan's art that she did at school was chosen to win an award and go on display!
Daniel and I made sure to get off work to go see her artwork on display and see her receive her award.
 Her snowman art!
While waiting for the award ceremony to begin, the girls were giving each other hugs.
Charlotte was cracking us up because she was running up to everyone saying, "Hi! My name is Char-it! Do you want to come to my birfday parteee?!"

We were proud, Morgan was proud and it was a fun event for all of us!

Snow Trip!

With our drought, it's been extra hard to plan a trip to the snow the last couple of years.
We finally got some snow in the mountains and Daniel happened to be off on my birthday which fell on a Friday, so I took the day off and we made an impromptu trip up the snow.

Our little "big" girl, sled all by herself.

She didn't care if she went head first, backwards or sideways, she was having fun!
After we were done sledding, we took some trails to see some big trees! I love that these national parks are in our backyard. I want our family to spend much more time exploring these parks through the years.
I can't get over how cute they look in their snow gear. However, I have to say, after only one day in the snow, I was happy to store all that gear away until next year's snow trip lol!

I had Morgan stand next to the base of the below tree to help show how massive they are.

It was a great way to spend my birthday!
