More Swimming!

Our family got the opportunity to go up to my sister's house to visit with family and swim again!
Dusty, Frank and Chase actually were gone at a football game most of the day but my parents and my family bummed around their house anyway.
I don't know why but I absolutely love swimming together as a family especially when we don't have to share our space with strangers!

I even got the pool all to myself for quite awhile. This pool is more like experiencing a pool at a resort. You're surrounded by mountains and vistas. While swimming alone, I listened to birds chirp, I watched the leaves rustle in the breeze and I breathed in fresh mountain air. I got the thrill of watching a road runner scamper out of some tall grass and into a clearing for awhile. It was crazy! They walk like the type of dinosaur that can also fly (I forget what they're called.) I even awoke after floating for awhile to find 4 buzzards circling above me. I quickly began swimming again to let them know that I was NOT their next meal!

We saw bunnies, buzzards, a road runner, deer, and raccoons!
It's hard to see but there's a deer underneath the below tree.

Daniel and I even put the girls to bed, opened up a bottle of wine and watched a meteor shower (we briefly woke up Charlotte to give her a bottle.)

Splash Park!

We recently visited a free splash park near our house!
This was a fun summer family day for us!

We even stopped for some ice cream before heading home. Although I'm super ready for fall to begin, we're still enjoying summer activities!
No ice cream for little Charlotte.

The below picture should be part of my "I See Beauty All Around Me" series. I just like the way the light was hitting this plant. This is the first thing I saw upon entering our home after our day out. I love feeling delight from simple things like this.

Craft time!

Craft time!

 Craft time gone wrong!
I knew it had gotten awfully quiet...

Seven Months!

Can't forget to post Charlotte's 7 month pictures!
I only have a few more days to take her 8 month pictures! She turns 9 months August 30th!
Love the below picture of Morgan in her bubble bath! Oh to be three again...

Charlotte Feeds Herself, Pizza Making & Pink Duck!

Our big girl Charlotte
 has started to learn how
 to feed herself!
I thought it was so sweet of Daniel to bring home a little pizza kit from Papa Murphy's for Morgan.
He helped her make her very own pizza. She of course loved it!
 Remember this cute pink duckie?
Well now another cutie patutie is using it!

Just Lately

It randomly rained here for a few minutes the other day. The rain was even proceeded by thunder which is basically unheard of here. I'm so not used to hearing storms anymore that it took me a minute to figure out what was going on.
Even though Morgan had just gotten out of the bath, I let her run outside to enjoy whatever puddles she could!
Little girls are so much fun! Who else gets away with wearing pink from head to toe like this?
On a completely random side note, I've been trying to cook healthier lately. I'll probably start including random shots of some dishes I'm trying out. Below was the beginning of some chicken, spinach, and marinara sauce wrapped in egg roll wraps.
We've been fortunate enough recently to be given some hand me down clothes. I think Morgan has been looking extra cute for daycare thanks to the generosity.

I bought this hat for Morgan the other day even though it's been more than a hundred degrees every day for the last couple of weeks. I'm finally starting to learn that you have to purchase the cute winter stuff during the summer because by the time it starts to get cold, it's all gone. I'll never understand why stores switch their merchandise from summer stuff to winter stuff in the middle of summer.

Date Night Concert!

Daniel and I have finally found a great babysitter! Thanks to her, we've been getting out more.
We recently went and watched the Los Lonely Boys!
We were able to enjoy dinner together, go to the concert and hang out in a trendy part of Fresno afterwards.
I felt young again and enjoyed spending that kind of time with my husband of nearly 5 years now! :)
