What Happens When I Leave Them Unattended...

They turned on the water hose and grabbed rain boots to make their own fun.

Morning Walk!

The other morning we ventured out early in hopes of exercise before it got too hot. It didn't work, it was only 9 am but still very hot. I find myself getting excited about the upcoming cooler weather but I'm not quite ready either. I still have some summer fun planned.
The below picture is the only one I got of Morgan because she quickly took off ahead of us on her bike.

I'm smitten with these girls. They're just so little and precious and my world.
We stopped a couple of times so Charlotte could adjust her baby's blanket.

We also stopped so the girls could cool off in some sprinklers and enjoy the rainbows.

Love my time with them. Of course I still have to constantly remind myself to have more patience but I think that's normal. At one point Morgan had taken off and I couldn't see her anymore and of course that's when Charlotte decided she wanted to stop to listen to the birds. I'm yelling for Morgan to come back while trying to get little miss Charlotte to HURRY up! I wasn't successful at either but it all worked out in the end.

Recently Enjoyed Things!

Uncle Nate came to visit! He came out to California for a wedding and went to the extra trouble to visit us for a couple of days too. We loved having him and are so thankful he visited!
He's great with the girls and they loved having him here! I also loved that Daniel thought to take these pictures. He's not a huge picture taker so it must have meant a lot to him to see his brother with his daughters. Sorry if I'm getting too mushy here for you babe.
Morgan was proud of the puzzle she did all by herself. I had started doing it with her and she asked to do it all herself. She's growing up.
Daniel was doing homework. He's taking a class at Fresno State to improve his reading and comprehension.
Charlotte was pretending to be sick so Morgan set her up with a blanket, music and plant. I tried asking how the plant helped Charlotte feel better but never got an answer from Morgan.
Morgan spotted this not so little guy in our backyard. This picture is deceiving because he doesn't look that big next to our overgrown grass but he was actually huge! We've seen tons of toads here but never a frog! I'm not convinced he wasn't someone's pet who got away.

I love watching her play. She shoved her stuffed monkey into this highchair and was feeding him. I love watching her take the milk and pretend to fill his cup all the while speaking to him in a gentle, loving voice. If this is role play, I must be doing something right.
She had made herself dinner and I loved how she sat the knife and spoon out to the sides too.
 Beautiful sunset.

Farmer's Market!

Our town has a great little farmer's market. We got the chance to go the other night and ended up having an amazing family night!
Morgan studied this statue for a moment and then discussed with me what she thought was going on between the boy and his dad.

We decided to have dinner there. The girls of course loved their corn dogs. They both finished every last bite!

Daniel took some selfies with his girls. Makes me feel so content watching this kind of stuff.
And he took pictures of me eating without me knowing it. Lovely. But here I am. See, I was there.

And we couldn't pass up dessert when there was cotton candy to be enjoyed!

We let the girls work off the sugar with some dancing to live music.

Oh, and we did actually buy some fruit! They had a stand from a dairy selling fresh milk. We got the strawberry milk and it was delicious! I'll go back to the Farmer's Market just for the milk! It came in a real glass bottle and was a treat.
These types of evenings are what I live for.

Silly Charlotte!

The other day Charlotte decided to accessorize her shorts and shirt with special socks, a winter hat and flip flops. I thought she looked adorable so I went to take pictures. True to her comical nature she decided to be silly and had me cracking up!

I was laughing so hard and making her laugh so she couldn't stay in character.

Recently Enjoyed Things!

I came home from work the other day to find my two girls like this. This wasn't staged. It was lovely to come home and find them peacefully reading together, sharing a blanket and everything!
I also came home one day to find Daniel cleaning our carpets! I'm a lucky wife.
We love our cuddly puppy.

 Safety first!
I love little short dresses on toddlers. You know, the ones that are reminiscent of the ones they put on little girls in the 50's. Darling!

My Kids At Daycare

 So thankful for quality daycare.

Zucchini Bread!

Yes, this bread gets its very own post.
After seeing how well Zucchini grows here, I knew I needed to find a great Zucchini Bread recipe. I figured I’d have to try a few out before finding “the one” but I lucked out with the first recipe I found. This bread is AMAZING! Daniel raved about it and, if you know him, you know that’s not something to take lightly. Even my girls are head over heels for this bread. Honestly, it makes me feel so good to make this bread for my family. I enjoy that it is made from Zucchini we grew ourselves and I love seeing my family enjoy it so much. I cherish seeing the girls run up to me and hearing Charlotte’s little voice painstakingly pronounce “zucchini bread” as they jump up and down asking for some. I love the way it looks in their little hands as they enjoy their little slice of yumminess their momma made for them.
