Summer Activities!

Every summer, I sign the girls up for a 2 week swimming lesson. It's a challenge on my part because it's everyday, Monday through Friday and I have to sit in triple digits outside in the sun! This summer I brought an umbrella and sat on the steps in the pool because I was so hot! It's great for the girls and I really do enjoy seeing them progress with their swimming.

At the same time as swimming this year, Charlotte was in dance and Morgan was in karate. I'd pick up Charlotte from her daycare provider who thankfully had her ready to go in her swimsuit. We'd rush to pick up Morgan, have her quickly change and we'd go to swim class. We'd rush to karate two days a week right after swim class for Morgan to attend. It was a lot but it wasn't too much since it was only for 2 weeks.

My tiny dancer! She's in a tap/ballet combo class.

 My tough karate girl!

This was one of her first days in class.
I feel very fortunate to be able to provide extracurricular activities for our girls.

Summer Movie Date!

With my new work schedule I was finally able to take advantage of the summer movies that are offered for $1! While Morgan was in school, Charlotte and I went and saw a 10 am showing.
She was so excited and happy all day.
My buckled in beauty...
We even went out for a nice lunch together!

She had just spilled some water and was looking up at me like, "Oops!"

She wanted me to take a picture of her sparkly nail polish.
Time with my family is everything to me.

Summer Life!

To beat the heat during triple digit days, we like to blow up our pool and place it in the shade.

The girls know this means cool treats will follow.

Even Maggie joins us.
Pedis are a summer must! Morgan enjoys picking out lots of colors.
 She really has it rough.

And if all else fails, we stay indoors with our ac going full blast.

Father's Day 2016!

Father's Day is always a really good day for us. We attend the annual Father's Day Blues Festival every year and it's such a win-win for everyone. It's the perfect way to celebrate Daniel and the amazing father and husband he is and it's super easy for me and fun for the whole family too.

 Giant sno-cones!
I forget what this game is called. I'm pretty sure it's a staple in the Mid-west. I know we had fun playing it! I wasn't too shabby at it and Charlotte was thoroughly impressed with my skill.
