Our First Lemonade Stand!

I thought it would be a good year to help the girls with their very first lemonade stand. We started by buying lots and lots of lemons!

The day of, the girls got dressed in their lemon dresses and helped me make the lemonade!
They started by taking the stickers off the lemons.

And then they both took turns squeezing the lemons. Morgan was a really big help with this. In hindsight, it would have been much better if we had made the lemonade the day before and let it chill. I'll remember that for next year.

 Ta-duh!
Daniel especially loved the backwards one on the poster the girls made all by themselves.
I forgot to put fresh lemon slices in the dispenser! And ice would have been a nice addition too. Next year!

We ended up having 11 or 12 customers. Having the stand forced us to be outside on this really hot day which led to a lot of summer fun in the sun!

The activities were endless! The girls played on the sidewalk with chalk, Morgan walked the neighbor's dog, Charlotte collected sticks and flowers, etc. etc.!

 Bubbles!
Pretty soon my front yard was full of kids running around playing with chalk, bubbles, bikes, and scooters!
Our VIP customer of the day is when Daniel stopped in for a purchase during his lunch break.
 Look how excited they were!

I'm already excited for next year!

Charlotte Sings!

Charlotte likes to make up songs and sing them for us.

More Summer Swimming!

We spent some time up at my sister's house this summer enjoying family time and her pool!
The drive up was gorgeous like normal.

Awww...this is the life!

Charlotte pretended to be a princess all afternoon while Morgan swam her around on her floatie.

 She had a blast!

Well hello little bunny! Can you spot her in the middle of the grass?
And to continue our Nature Channel view, deer came up to further eat my sister's lawn.
Grandpa and Chase time in his new hot rod.
Nana shared some cashews with Charlotte who apparently loves them.
Family time is everything.

Simply Summer!

Charlotte enjoying our bed.
For the last year or so she's been following in her big sister's footsteps and really enjoys making art.

 My little Sporty Spice!

  Celebrating National Ice Cream Day!

Morning Charlotte getting ready for daycare.
She chose to wear a skirt over her swimsuit to swim class. And look at that strut! Love her confidence.

I stepped outside one evening and saw remnants of their sidewalk chalk art. It was beautiful to me! I tried taking pics before our sprinklers washed it away.
 More important swim class accessories.
