More January Pics

Our weather has been pretty gloomy lately. Most of the time it's overcast and dreary. Today the sun peaked out for awhile so I snatched Morgan and headed outside with some chalk.

Her face is so precious!

She likes to yell out the color of each piece of chalk as she colors with it.
I've just recently discovered the therapeutic qualities of this activity. I color right along with her. It's fun being in the front of our house because I get to converse with our neighbors and Morgan and I talk about all the things we see. Today we talked about birds, airplanes, cars and the neighbor kids' game of basketball.

I wish I looked this cute in leggings and boots.

I got a little time with the girls this weekend when I got to go wedding dress shopping with my friend Tammy. I'm honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding!
Tammy was embarrassed because we played Bette Midler's version of "Chapel of Love" on our way to a wedding dress shop.
The Matron of Honor and Mother of the Bride were excited for the day.
They had good reason to be excited. After only 2 stores, Tammy found her dress and was able to purchase it and take it home that day!
We celebrated with dinner.
We're packing in lots of activities this January.

Mid January in the Irwin Household

Frank was working overseas during the holidays so we had another Christmas celebration when he got back. It was odd having another Christmas get-together on January 9th but it was fun too.

While at Frank and Dusty's house, Morgan got some quality time with their lovable cat, Oscar.

Morgan didn't seem to mind that she didn't have any gifts to open. She contently watched Chase open his gifts.

This child is VERY expressive. I often don't post these expressions because they're not exactly flattering but this is what Morgan looks like a lot of the time...

Just thought these were cute.

One night we went out to a Mexican restaurant and Morgan devoured some salsa. It was funny to watch because she'd get a big bite of salsa and then she'd quickly grab her juice and gulp it before eating more salsa. She ate quite a bit! I was kind of impressed.

I've had to move the location of our marshmallows in our pantry because I keep finding Morgan helping herself to them.
I was working in the office when she came in eating some marshmallows that she had gotten down herself and opened herself.

Daniel and I have been wanting to go see a performance of the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra but tickets can cost $70 a seat! Thanks to Groupon we were able to get $70 seats for only $15! Unfortunately Daniel was really sick the day we went but we still had a good time. We were right in the middle about 11 rows back on the bottom floor of a huge theater!

It was nice for just the two of us to get away for a few hours.

Morgan is learning her way around a computer...

Blessed!

Right now, my house is trashed. It needs a really good cleaning and the Christmas decorations are still up but lately I’ve found myself playing with my family during any downtime we might have together. Morgan seems to eat up the time when she has both her parents’ attention. She’ll run into my arms while saying “Mommy” and then she’ll run over to Daniel with a big smile on her face yelling “Daddy”! I can tell she feels so happy when we’re all together and it does me so much good to see her so content. I love that time. Daniel and I relax together and have conversations intermittently through tickles, hugs and laughter with Morgan. I don’t really think I could ask for more.

Morgan's First Time in Snow!

Morgan practiced wearing her snow boots the night before the big day.

She kept repeating the word "snow"as soon as we started seeing the white stuff on our way up to the mountains.

Uncle Frank and Daniel slid her around on one of the sleds.

Mi hermana.

Here comes Daniel! There sure are a lot of trees on either slide of this run...
Wipe out!

Daniel had way too much fun throwing snowballs.
Frank and Chase joined in.

Our snowman!

Luckily, someone else had made the first 2 balls. All I had to do was make the head. I brought 2 buttons, the carrot and the scarf. It was funny because a few people asked if they could take pictures with our snowman.

Daniel looks really handsome in the above pic. Love his smile!

What an adorable family!

I'm not

sure what

inspired this

adorable pose
but I loved it!

Cousins!

Daniel took Morgan down one of the big/fast slopes and Morgan said "weeeee" the whole time. She'd also burst into laughter. They even caught air once and she couldn't get enough. Daniel took her repeatedly before it was time to finally go.
You can see the smile and excitement on her face.

If you listen closely, you can hear her say, "whoa!" After each time, she'd say, "again" to her daddy.

Chase was a daredevil!
We had a really good time and made great memories.

Can't wait for next time!
