Halloween Festivities

I had a bunch of errands to run on Saturday so I dressed Morgan in Halloween attire and we headed out.

First stop was to get her hair cut and since the place is right next to Daniel's work we went and visited him for awhile. While there we saw this adorable dog. I can't help but laugh when I see this picture because he's just so darn cute!

Later that night, after Daniel got off work we took Morgan to another pumpkin patch.

She had a blast running around this maze with her daddy!

Next we stood in line to let Morgan ride a pony. Daniel pointed out that she does this really cute thing with her hands when she's really excited and maybe a little nervous. She kind of rubs them together in excitment.

Daniel and I had a really good time watching her enjoy herself so much.

Before leaving the pumkin patch Morgan got a time out because she wouldn't stop crying because she wanted to play on the jumphouses. Daniel and I didn't want to spend a small fortune plus we figured two pumpkin patches and a pony ride was plenty for this little girl. Below Daniel and Morgan discuss why she got a timeout.

The following day, Morgan and I made a Halloween dessert.

She felt it necessary to sample the ingredients. First it was an oreo.

And then a gummy worm.

We made a worm in dirt and mud dessert.

This was a perfect age for this because she really got the concept and enjoyed it.

One of the things I love about being a mother is doing stuff like this. Morgan and I put together treat bags to take to her daycare on Halloween.

While I carved the big pumpkin, Morgan painted her small one.

We had a busy day and never made it out of our pajamas. She did, however, get a bath before bed and got to see the pumpkin lit up as a jack-o-lantern.

Happy Halloween!

Pizza Night!

Daniel has been complaining that I have a basil plant that I rarely use so I came up with a dinner that used basil and would fit everybody's taste. I decided Margarita pizzas would be the best choice.

Morgan REALLY enjoyed helping Mommy make the pizzas!

I was impressed. She did a really good job.

Yay for pizza!

She got a little messy.

The pizzas turned out really good! I was impressed with myself :) Ignore the fact that the pan is so dirty but remember I had a 2 year old help.

Check out Daniel's Star Trek Enterprise pizza cutter!

Pumpkin Patch!

We started off with a train ride.

Morgan of course loved it!

This place has lots of great things for the family. We didn't get a chance to take Morgan in this treehouse but there's always next year!

Cuddling with Mommy...

We took a hike down to the pumkin patch.

This turned out to be a great day. We all just really enjoyed ourselves.

Morgan immediately picked out her pumpkins and then had a blast riding around in this wagon.

We have yet to carve the pumpkins but I'm sure we'll post pictures when we do. I love this time of year!

Zoo Boo!

I got free tickets at work for our family to attend a Halloween event at the zoo. Morgan dressed up in her costume and got to trick or treat while seeing some animals. Below, Daddy opened up some candy for her.

Unfortunately, she's been fighting the flu this week. We thought she was all better but she started running a fever again the day of the event. We thought she felt okay enough to go but she seemed rather out of it at the event so we didn't stay long.

She still had some fun moments though. She enjoyed seeing the other kids in their costumes.

Daddy carried her back to the car.

After we got back home she didn't want to take her hat off.

I ended up staying up with her off and on all night as she fought her fever. By the morning, she was as good as new though!
