Precious Grandma Visit!

Daniel's mom, Linda, was able to come for a visit early this month. We were so excited to get to see her!
She came with us to Morgan's ballet practice to watch her dance.
Grandma babysat the girls one night so Daniel and I could go on a date. We had such a good time! He and I got sushi and drinks and then went to a movie. We had such good conversations all night and flirted and talked about our college days. It was much needed time for just he and I and we're grateful Linda was able to provide that for us.
We relaxed and simply visited most of the time but did head out for some family outings one beautiful Saturday.
We visited the Japanese Gardens in one of our local parks.

We watched these beautiful coi for a long time.

Charlotte kept running all over the place leading our way.

I thought these were great pictures of Daniel and his mom.

Charlotte tried to pet a peacock. Man, those things are gorgeous!

Next, we ate a picnic lunch and let the girls play on some playground equipment.

It was so sweet because Morgan had just asked Daniel and I if she could have a special balloon that this man was walking around selling. We had just told her no (because we hadn't brought cash) when we saw Linda buying one for Charlotte and motioning over to Morgan to pick one out too. I just thought it was so sweet of Linda and the girls were thrilled! It really helped make that day that much more special.
We had a great time visiting with Linda! She was such a help cleaning up and cooking while we were at work. These visits really help to keep us all close and that is priceless. We're able to make memories that last a lifetime. Although Charlotte had only met her maybe 3 times, she ran up to her and immediately took her hand while saying, "Gramma". We know it's not cheap or easy to fly that distance to visit but we sure appreciate it!

  1. I love how Charlotte is genuinely hugging and loving her grandma.
