Halloween Festivities!

We carved and painted pumpkins last weekend! The girls picked out these pumpkins during our trip to the pumpkin patch earlier this month.
While it's not exactly Fall weather here, it has been gorgeous! Our windows have been open for weeks. There's nothing like snuggling under warm covers while a cool gentle breeze blows in your room.
The first few touches inside the pumpkins were filled with jerked back hands and lots of "ewwwws". They warmed up to it though.
This is the first year that Morgan helped carve her pumpkin. Always before I only let her paint her pumpkin. She drew on the face and then made all the holes with a pumpkin carving tool.
 Charlotte painted hers.

Look how into it Charlotte got. I love that she's bending down to really see what she's doing.

 The aftermath.
I painted "BOO" on my pumpkins and made a banner too. We had already made bats and put those on the door. I like how it turned out. This is fun!

 Morgan's Jack-o-lantern!

  1. I love the BOO pumpkins! Great idea. They are so cute. A little jealous of your weather. It's turning colder here.
