Day at the Zoo!

My company's picnic this year was at the zoo. Our family decided to get there as it opened so we'd miss the crowds and we achieved just that! 

Our local zoo has been doing some renovations and revamping and I think they're doing a great job. I've always loved all the foliage.

 So contemplative. 

 We hadn't been to the zoo in awhile. It was extra fun this time because Charlotte was able to walk around and really look at the animals. 

 We hit all our favorite exhibits first and it was awesome because we were often the only people there.

 Daniel and Charlotte watched an elephant eat for a long time. It was neat to watch it's methods of picking up hay and putting it into it's mouth.

 During the picnic lunch offered by my company there were zoo workers walking around holding and talking about different animals. Charlotte sat nicely next to this lady and sweetly listened to her talk for a long time. She's so sweet. I'm smiling just thinking about it. 

 We were given free tickets to feed the giraffes too. You have to look closely but you can see the leaf had left Morgan's hand and was in the giraffe's tongue below.

 Hi guys!

 Daniel laughed because he said the giraffe wrapped his entire hand in it's tongue while grabbing the leaf. 

 I love Daniel in the below picture. I think he looks handsome. :)

It was a beautiful day.
