Meeting Tinker Bell!

One evening we got to attend one of Morgan's ballet friend's birthdays. They did something for their party I had never heard of before. They hired a couple of princesses to attend the party. The below picture is Morgan captivated by the appearance of Tinker Bell!

She was in awe and it was really cute to watch.

Notice everyone else huddled around Merida from Brave? Not Morgan, she was too captivated by Tink.

Finally, we were able to pull her away from Tinker Bell long enough so she could join in on some games the princesses led for the kids.
The below picture is from her dance solo that had the crowd captivated. I really wish I had gotten it on video. Each child was given the opportunity to do a quick solo dance in front of everyone. I proudly watched from the sidelines as I watched her do special turns and jumps. Each time she'd do these hilarious ballet moves, the crowd would ooh and awe and clap. I was so proud of her. She walked into this home she'd never been in before that was filled with strangers and she happily ran to the other kids and began socializing and interacting.
Charlotte stayed home with daddy because she had a fever. Four days later we found out the poor baby had a kidney infection. She's better now but we have her scheduled for a procedure where they'll look to see how her bladder is functioning. We're trying to find out what caused her infection.

Little Bits

Charlotte likes to climb in whatever she can fit into.

Baking with mom...
After picking up the girls from daycare, our commute home often has a pretty sunset. Here are a couple I caught while driving.

Random Goodness

I took Morgan to get her hair cut the other day. The ladies who worked there were amused because she chose Spiderman as the movie she wanted to watch. That's my girl!
I always think she looks so cute sitting there getting her hair cut. She's always been a champ with this.
Later that day, we ate lunch with Daddy while he was on his lunch break. Charlotte tried her first fry.
Dusty met me for lunch one day. We of course had to try a new establishment in town called Dusty Buns! Their food is 100% organic and purchased locally. It was delicious!

We were even entertained by a banjo! It was a great break during my work day! Catching up with my sis is always a treat and something I don't take for granted.

One day while Morgan was supposed to be putting her pajama bottoms on, she ran to me saying, "Look mom! Do you like my scarf?" It actually looked pretty good. Silly girl.

Hmmmmm........shrimp and other fresh ingredients made for a delicious dinner! Thank you Pinterest for being my culinary inspiration!

More Charlotte!

She moves things.
And tears things up.

Oh, and she eats bananas. Lots of bananas!

 We adore her!

Charlotte Sleeps

Unfortunately, neither of my girls have been the type to just fall asleep anywhere. Knowing this, you can imagine my surprise when I found poor little Charlotte like this.

 She must have been pooped!

Family Day!

A couple of weekends ago, our little family enjoyed a beautiful day together. It started out with Daniel thanking me for the dinners I’ve been making every night. He let me know he appreciated it and the fact that he verbally let me know meant the world to me.
Daniel, Morgan, Charlotte and I all woke up early and got ready so we could head to Morgan’s last ballet class.
I got this jacket at a children's second hand store.
I'm completely aware that it's a tad ridiculous but I don't care. I love it!
We got to sit in on her class to see what she learned over the course of the class. She was adorable!

After ballet, we headed over to a restaurant Daniel and I used to frequent before having our kiddos. Even though Charlotte was in need of a nap, they did great! I seriously love being out and about with my family. Sometimes it feels like a rare occurrence that we get to do this.
After brunch, we headed over to a walking path I happened upon earlier in the week. This path is set amongst rolling hills with views of snow capped mountains. It felt great to get outside and enjoy the sun and crisp air together! Daniel kept telling me what a great idea it was of mine to go on a walk together. J
I don’t think Charlotte cried once. She was just happy to be out and about too. Morgan and Daniel kept racing each other.
After walking nearly 3 miles, we headed home but thankfully it was only around 1:45 pm so we still had a full day ahead of us. We put the girls to bed for a nap and I headed straight for the bath. A nice big soaking tub was not something we were looking for while searching for houses but we’re sure glad we got one. We use it all the time. My ideal bath lasts about 2 hours because I like to read a magazine front to back, just sit for awhile and I always enjoy an entire glass of wine too! There’s a large window over our tub so I love to just lay there in the sunlight that streams in. It’s my little slice of heaven!

The light was too bright for Morgan to look up but this was the only picture of me so I decided to add it anyway. :)

Later Daniel ran and got a pizza so we didn’t have to worry about dinner. We ate and relaxed together, put the girls to bed and ended our evening with Daniel and I watching a movie. Right before we both drifted off to dreamland, Daniel commented on what a wonderful day it was. If that’s not a perfect day, I don’t know what is!
