A few weeks ago Daniel's father Steve and his wife Dorothea visited us for the weekend. Daniel and I were so excited for them to meet Morgan for the first time!

Morgan is......
MORGAN IS A GOOD SLEEPER!
MORGAN IS HAPPY!
Morgan's favorite thing to do right now is smile! All you have to do is give her a big smile and she'll return the favor. Morgan smiles with her whole body! Her eyes and face light up with every smile.
MORGAN IS PETITE!
Last time Morgan was weighed she weighed only around 12 pounds but was already 24 inches long. She's only in about the 3rd percentile for weight but was in the 41st percentile for height. Maybe she'll be tall and lean like her daddy!
Morgan has slept through the night pretty much since we first put her in her crib a few months ago. We put her down around 8 or 9 every night and we have to wake her up around 5 or 5:30 to feed her every morning. On weekends she even goes back to sleep after her 5 am feeding until around 9 am when we wake her up to feed her again. We lay her in her crib at night and she goes to sleep without any fussing 6 out of 7 nights. Now, if only the same were true for naps!
MORGAN IS A DADDY LOVER!
If dad's in the room, you can bet that's who Morgan is looking at. She will crook her neck just to spot dad and give him a big smile. Daddy is good about playing with Morgan and I know she appreciates it!

Being a parent is the hardest thing I've done but it's definitely the most rewarding. Who knew it would feel this good!

Thanks Grandma!
Daniel, Morgan and I are missing Grandma! Linda visited a couple of weeks ago in February to watch Morgan while Mommy went back to work. It was a great transition for everyone. Morgan got used to not having Mommy here all the time without having to leave the house and I (Mommy) got used to being without her all day without having to have strangers watch her. Linda was great with Morgan! She was extremely loving and even taught me a few tricks on how to take care of her. Here are some cute pics of her visit.

Cooing
Morgan started "talking" a couple of weeks ago for long periods of time. I love to listen to her sweet, little voice.
Our friends, Lee and Fran, visited us for the weekend. Morgan was telling us stories and watching Fran and I cook dinner while sitting in her bouncy seat on top of the kitchen table.
How do they do that?
A few weeks ago Daniel and I woke up to find Morgan in her crib like this.

We always put her lengthwise in her crib yet we never find her the next morning in the same position we laid her in the night before. I know every child does this but it just amazes me that they can't even roll over yet or even come close to crawling, yet they somehow find ways to maneuver around in their cribs. I still don't know how she managed this.

Thank God!!!!!
Well, Daniel and I could not be happier. Morgan had her blood tested again yesterday and her neutrophil levels are back to normal. They're supposed to be around 1500 for normal levels and hers were just under 1500. At one point she had gone as low as 91! The doctor believes that whatever caused her to have neutropenia is now no longer an issue. I personally believe it had everything to do with the fact that she almost died at birth because she bled out while still in me. As a new mother this whole ordeal has been extremely difficult. We can actually take her places now and have visitors. I'm so relieved!
