Scenic Walk!

Daniel recently had a Saturday off and it was supposed to be relatively sunny and warm. We decided on lunch and going to what we refer to as our scenic walk. It ended up being a beautiful family day!

I'm pretty sure the girls have made it their personal mission to not smile at the same time in every picture just to torment me but the below picture did crack me up.
Daniel played a trick on Charlotte and hid behind a huge tumble weed.
She turned around and yelled for him so he came out and knelt down with open arms while she ran to him.
Oh, be still my heart!

I felt like I was watching the opening scene of Little House On The Prairie! I grew up on that show and the books.

Much to my dismay, they were standing really close to the edge.

We headed down this little trail. It doesn't look that steep in the pictures but I was nervous holding onto little Charlotte's hand. I was glad we did it afterwards though. We were on a little adventure.

Charlotte collected sticks along the way.
I so enjoy watching their childhood play out.

They checked out what they referred to as a rabbit hole.

I really enjoyed our little adventure. We stopped for some ice cream before heading home. I heart family days.

Our Park!

My favorite time to take the girls to our park is when it's cool and sunny.
Something about the below picture reminds me of time spent in my backyard when I wasn't much older than her. I have specific pictures of me in mind. I'll have to find them.

She has no shoes and socks on because she took them off and buried them in the sand. I have yet to find one of her socks. Stinker!
They collected A LOT of acorns! The below container was filled with them.
Childhood is so precious! I never want it to end!

Random Goodness!

We're still enjoying our fruit and veggie juices. I'm so thankful the girls happily drink them. This one had kale, carrots, blueberries, strawberries, banana and water. Yum!

I got a cookbook for Christmas and love how it looks in our kitchen.
Matching pajamas thanks to generous gifts from family.
Charlotte gave Maggie something to sleep with. I walked into the room much later and still found Maggie curled up with her gift from Charlotte.

Sometimes while Charlotte naps, Morgan and I spend some one on one time together. We made a banana pudding the other day. While making it she kept commenting on how fun it was and she's since mentioned it again.
Banana puddings always remind me of my dad because he loves them. My mom and grandma used to make them for him too.

 Golden
 braids!

 Laughing with momma.

I love seeing their creativity expressed through play.
Oh, and if you're still noticing Christmas decorations in some of these pictures, it's because we just took them down late January. Oops!
