Morgan's 7th Birthday!

Morgan's birthday fell on a school day but she woke up to sticky notes lining the hallway naming all her wonderful traits!

They led her to the dining room where I had a present (from family), balloons, and a homemade cake waiting for her.

I enjoyed watching her sweet reactions. She was so excited and thankful for everything.

She ate her muffin, got ready and then headed to school for the day. Later that evening, she had choir practice and then she was able to open some cards from family with a couple more gifts and eat her cake. Daniel and I were so impressed because she only got one actual gift that she opened that morning. She never once complained about only one gift and seemed grateful for what she got. That made us feel really good. We didn't get her a gift because we had a special day planned for her the following Saturday that involved the movies, manicure etc. etc.

Grandma got her this darling nightgown that she loved.

I was so happy that she enjoyed her day! I try to make each birthday special because, hey, they only get one of each! Her daddy and I are very proud of her. We love our 7 year old soooo much!

Ficklin!

We're still going strong with our winery membership. We use their Port Release parties as a date night.
On our way there last time, we managed to spill an entire soda all over the car. But doesn't he look handsome cleaning it up? I think so!

MORE soccer!

Hugs with daddy.

She pulled our wagon all the way back to the car. We were so proud!

 Still pulling.

Important soccer accessories when you're three.

Lunch With Morgan & Silly Charlotte!

As I've mentioned a couple of times before, Daniel and I have been working on a new career path. One day, I left work early in order to have a phone interview with Daniel and our new company and to take Morgan to a doctor's appointment. Right before our quick lunch date, we discovered that our interview had gone well and that we had been invited up to Emeryville, California for a two day interview with the company. I think I will always remember this day. We had so much going on with this possible exciting (and slightly terrifying) job venture.
This girl loves her spaghetti and meatballs.
Morgan had a dress for success day at school. She pulls off the professional look flawlessly!
And this my friends, is Charlotte. It's impossible to not adore her.

I think the only time I take selfies is when I'm taking pics to send to Dusty and my friend during our daily text sessions. The below pics were taken to show the girls how much phone interviews rock. I was home on the couch in comfy clothes with Daniel gearing up for one of our many phone interviews we did in applying for our new career path.

Halloween!

Charlotte got to dress up the day before Halloween to attend her daycare party! This was an early morning shot before we left the house for the day.
For Halloween Morgan got to be the female singer in Pentatonix. I adored that she chose something so unique. As soon as she saw the music video of her in this blue make-up and wig, it was all over. She HAD to be this for Halloween!

We even had a friend from work come over to do her make-up because I didn't think I could pull it off. This friend does make up on the side for weddings so I thought she was a much safer choice for the job.
Morgan even stopped smiling for pictures so she could get in character and match the picture she was holding up.
And our goofy, happy Charlotte loved her "pumpkin" costume. I was thrilled that she was so excited about what I had put together. When I asked her what she wanted to dress up as, she said a pumpkin so that's what she got!

You can see Morgan's full rock-star outfit in the back of the above picture.
Oh, I live for these moments and memories! I'm so blessed to be their mother. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Daniel and I walked around our neighborhood that night and let the girls collect lots of goodies.

Yes, that's a full candy bar she's eating while trick or treating. We stopped by a neighbors house where this darling elderly couple lives. When they saw our girls they went and grabbed their special stash of candy to spoil them with.

Pumpkin Play!

We finally got around to carving/painting our pumpkins! Shhh..I think this may have even been the day AFTER Halloween. I don't think it mattered to the girls though.

Every single one of our family traditions is treasured by me.
