Life Via My Phone - Part Uno!

Morgan made a necklace with a gift she got for Christmas. I was so impressed! Look how everything is symmetrical!
Nice work kiddo!
A couple months back I finally took Morgan for a haircut. While there, she lost her other front tooth. She of course took it like a champ. She's been so good about just calmly pulling out her teeth when they're finally loose enough to do so.
Charlotte insisted on sitting in one of the hair cutting seats although she has yet to get her first haircut.
I had to take a picture of how long Morgan's hair had gotten. I think it may have been a year since we last cut it. She loves her long hair, it was just getting a bit unmanageable.
Just sitting back watching sis get her hair cut...
We ran a few errands that day and had to stop for lunch. They always beg to go to McDonald's but I should really start taking them to Subway. We don't go often, but still, I know they need to grow up with healthy eating habits.
We ran to Joann's early one weekday morning and it was such a nice experience.

Then we headed to the library. Charlotte is saying, "Come on mom!"

Later that day, we cuddled in bed to watch a movie together. When we do that, I usually end up watching them watch the movie. I can't help it.
 Too cool for school.
 Best buds.

This is my typical view while blogging unless I do it after they've gone to bed.
I try to take my lunch to work everyday but I do treat myself every once in awhile. Yum, Pho!
Christmas clearance shopping during my lunch hour. Fun!
Just one of my loves looking cute in a shirt she got for Christmas or her birthday. Not sure which.

This is what pure boredom during one of mom's grocery shopping trips looks like. She was doing anything to entertain herself.
Life is beautiful, isn't it?

Bowling!

I try to make the best of when Daniel gets weekend days off. He had another weekend day off recently but it was supposed to be raining. I mentioned bowling to him and was thrilled when he was excited about the idea!
I recently bought the girls some umbrellas. They of course insisted on bringing their new umbrellas on our outing. Before we left, they ran out front to play in the rain!
It was cute because Daniel brought his dad's old bowling ball and shoes.

Daniel was so great about showing the girls what to do. I had fun watching him have fun with them.

We had a great day. We did the whole bit and ate bad bowling alley food and beer too.

It was hilarious because Morgan had two pins barely spaced apart and Daniel told her that if she was able to have the bowling ball roll right between the pins without knocking either of them down, he'd give her a 100 pennies. It was so cute watching her because she took her time aiming the green plastic guide thing they had for kids and then she carefully pushed the bowl and guess what? It went right between those pins without knocking either of them down! We all cracked up and Morgan was thrilled! I was so happy he said pennies! Her face after was priceless.

We had a great time especially because the girls were both old enough to really participate. I look forward to many more trips to the bowling alley with my family.

Scenic Walk!

Daniel recently had a Saturday off and it was supposed to be relatively sunny and warm. We decided on lunch and going to what we refer to as our scenic walk. It ended up being a beautiful family day!

I'm pretty sure the girls have made it their personal mission to not smile at the same time in every picture just to torment me but the below picture did crack me up.
Daniel played a trick on Charlotte and hid behind a huge tumble weed.
She turned around and yelled for him so he came out and knelt down with open arms while she ran to him.
Oh, be still my heart!

I felt like I was watching the opening scene of Little House On The Prairie! I grew up on that show and the books.

Much to my dismay, they were standing really close to the edge.

We headed down this little trail. It doesn't look that steep in the pictures but I was nervous holding onto little Charlotte's hand. I was glad we did it afterwards though. We were on a little adventure.

Charlotte collected sticks along the way.
I so enjoy watching their childhood play out.

They checked out what they referred to as a rabbit hole.

I really enjoyed our little adventure. We stopped for some ice cream before heading home. I heart family days.
