The other day while driving home Morgan and I had this conversation.
Morgan: "Mom, Charlotte is smiling at me."
Me: "That's because she loves you honey."
Morgan: "Can we keep her?"
Me: chuckles "Yes, honey, we can keep her."
Morgan: "Forever?"
Apparently for Morgan, whether Charlotte was going to stick around was in question. I'm happy to know her little sis made the final cut though.

I See Beauty All Around Me - 1
I think I'm going to start a new series of posts having to do with all the things I find beautiful in my life whether it be a person, moment or memory. Here are some very recent ones. The top three are of our family eating outside enjoying our perfect weather!
Memorial Day Weekend!
Miss America herself...
We got to hang out with Aunt Dusty and Chase at their pool! I didn't get any photos of Chase but Morgan had a blast with him! On the way home she was talking about how much fun she had playing hide and go seek with him.
Morgan and I at it again in the kitchen.
Morgan's First Dance Recital!
Listen to what she says near the end of this video.
There's nothing cuter than a bunch of 3 year olds in tutus!
Aunt Dusty came to watch Morgan perform. Love this picture!
Now I get to experience the joy of trying to get TWO children to cooperate with pictures!
Morgan's ballet class was a great experience for everyone! She listened well and did a great job with interacting with her dance mates and teachers.
At the end of the class, each girl was given a flower to keep. Morgan was one of the last to receive a flower and when she did, she got up, walked all the way across the room and handed me her flower. She's always talking about how she wants to give her Mommy flowers and that night she did. It was the sweetest thing ever and I couldn't have been more proud and flattered!

Quick Weekend Review
Daniel taught Charlotte how to hold her own bottle. I'm still breastfeeding but she gets a bottle some mornings and when I'm at work. She is getting about one bottle of formula a day because I haven't been able to pump enough at work to fully feed her while I'm away.
This weekend we made a "treat" as Morgan calls it. We made Smores Bars. Pinterest has been a very bad influence when it comes to dessert recipes... I know a couple of sisters at work who started making gourmet meals for their family when they were just teenagers. I have the same big plans for my girls :)
Craft time!
The Smores Bars turned out yummy.

Mother's Day Weekend 2012
For Mother's Day, the girls and I spent a beautiful weekend with my family in Sacramento. Unfortunately Daniel had to work on Mother's Day so he stayed home.
We spent the first part of the weekend playing games, coloring, eating yummy food and relaxing.
Charlotte is looking at Papa's hands. I've always loved my Dad's hands. They've symbolized such stability, strength and love in my life.
We celebrated Mother's Day by going to the zoo and to sushi!
Awwwww......our little kangaroos!
My favorite animal was the Lion. Check it out just to the left of Morgan's head.
My gorgeous Mom! I'm so thankful for her. She's been a beautiful example to me of what a mom should be.
The zoo has always been the one place that wears Morgan out! And yes, those are all new stuffed animals. Nana spoiled the girls.

Weekday Evenings!
It's getting warm around here! Today it was in the upper 90's!
I'm loving my rose bush this year. I can't stop posting pictures of them.
The girls playing together.
One evening we sat outside for dinner. It was so pleasant!
We have an insane amount of birds living in the trees around our house. More than usual for some reason. I absolutely love hearing them chirp and sing.
Look who's learning to sit up all by herself!
Love the hairdo she's rocking.
She's also now eating some solid food. She tried rice cereal for the first time this week and can't get enough of it.
Happy girl after her bath.
Morgan's first time using water colors...
We're still doing Morgan's ballet class every Tuesday night. I put Charlotte in her sling and we hang out that way the whole time. I took the below picture this week. Charlotte was sucking on her tongue and it looked funny. Someone actually pointed it out to me. They asked me if I had a pacifier for her because she was sucking on her tongue. I did have one with me but I didn't see the harm in her discovering her tongue. People say odd things sometimes.
This is me trying to document Charlotte in her sling...
Tonight we played bubbles outside.
We've been getting a lot of quality time in during the weeknights and I'm thankful for that.
