Days 6 - More Beach House - Family Vacay 2011!

We started day 6 off with a hike up a huge sand dune called Mt. Baldy.

Poor Daniel carried Morgan up the very steepest part. It was ridiculously hot and humid that day.

Once we reached the bottom, we cooled off in Lake Michigan.

Grandma Linda, Aunt Janet and Cousin Jessica came to visit us this day.

Grandma got some Morgan love.

Everyone got to celebrate Grayson's 6th birthday too!

Morgan enjoyed his cake.

Daniel's cousin Jessica watched the kids tear apart the couch. They had way too much fun doing this over the course of the week.

I took Morgan out to investigate some beautiful flowers growing in the back of the beach house.

Beach House - Family Vacay 2011!

On day 4 of our Midwest trip, we drove to Michigan City, Indiana to meet up with Daniel's two brothers' families. We all pitched in to get an amazing beach house on Lake Michigan. The first thing the kids did was check out the room with all the bunkbeds. Below: Morgan, Cousin Scarlett and Cousin Matthew play on the top bunk. They're all within 3 months of age from eachother.

Next we all headed down to the beach.

Morgan went further in than we thought she would.

So cute....Morgan and Daddy.

Uncle Chris helped Matthew head into the water.

There were many meals eaten at this table.

That night, Aunt Kelly read to the two little girls.

The next morning was an early trip to the beach again.

Daddy showed Morgan his rock skipping abilities.

She had fun discovering the water. Her favorite thing to do was collect rocks and hand them to Mommy.

Grandma Visit - Day 2 & 3 of Family Vacay 2011!

Daniel, Linda (Daniel's mom) and I didn't go to bed until 2 am after we arrived in Kokomo that first day. Luckily Morgan slept in until 11 am the next day. It felt amazing to be able to sleep in and know that we didn't have to do anything all day but relax and spend time together! Morgan of course enjoyed her Grandma.

Grandma read to Morgan and colored outside with her too.

We visited a couple of parks.

And helped a stray dog get some water. Morgan saw the big white dog and instantly took off running after it. Daniel caught up with them and gave the pup some water.

Grandma treated Morgan to her very first sundae!

The next day we visited the fair.

Morgan had a blast riding all the rides. We ended the day with fresh Indiana corn and roast, yummy! It was a very nice, fun, relaxing couple of days!
